Orphan Pups (October 2009)| These pups were found in the woods, alongside their dead mother. A good samaritan took them to the shelter in Nacogdoches, who set off to find them a foster home. They were temporarily fostered in Austin, and are now in Arkansas. They are recovering from a horrible case of mange, and their fur is growing in nicely! Rat Pups | This litter of rat terrier pups and their mother came from a shelter in Nacogdoches, Texas. They came to ResQ when they were six weeks old, and will be heading off to foster homes in a few weeks. In the meantime, our Arkansas fostermom gets to play with puppies! |

The ResQ team tightened our belts and took in nine dogs from a shelter in south Texas, near Rockport. Seven of the nine dogs tested positive for heartworms, which will cost ResQ an estimated total of $2,100, but we are determined to find a way to treat these dogs and get them healthy and into adoptive homes.
If you can help with even a small amount towards this expense, please consider it. These little dogs deserve to know that humans can be wonderful, and life is good after all.

Rockport Dogs (July, 2008)| Nine dogs were seized from a backyard breeder in Rockport, Texas. Through the help of volunteers, all nine were brought to a ResQ Team member in Arkansas, where they were vetted and disbursed to ResQ fosterhomes. |
