Polypterus Endlicheri Congicus
Polypterus endlicheri congicus

Species Name: Polypterus endlicheri congicus
Common Name: NA
Size: max. 38”
pH: 6.0 - 8.0
Minimum Tank Size: 180 gal
Native Location: Gazetteer Central Africa: Congo basin and Lake Tanganyika
Temperature:72°F-82°F
Diet: carnivorous
Breeding: Egg-layer
Gender Diffrences: Male with thicker and wider anal fin than female.

Additional Comments:
Congicus is hyper active. Remember it can grow over 30”, so 18” is still a young one. It’s funny to see a 18” big congicus swims up and down in the tank. Dorsal side gray colored, ventral side paler, yellowish, with 6 to 9 darker transversal bars. Fins with weak spots. It lives in streams, lakes and zones of flood.
