I have the little bird that's No. 259 and would love to find out more about it. Does anyone have any information? Is it gold vermiel? Is it a Gene Verri piece? (It looks so much likke his other figurals, I suspect so.) Has anyone come across it in a book?

I've referenced your site often, still love it. I have a 1941 Mother Goose pin, like your two examples, though mine is yet another color, Pink with a Blue Cabochon and is marked, "Des.Pat.Pend." I thought perhaps these were kind of rare pins, any insight, please?

I've got three retrobird pins. All have blue rhinestone eyes and two green and one gold rhinestone on tail. I've found others online but they all seem to have different color stones. Also the pin backs are all different. Some placed horizontally, some vertical and some diagonal. Mine are horizontal, the length of the bird. Any idea which ones are original design?
