Evan has taken up the clarinet this year and this was his first concert with the 5th Grade Band. These kids are doing pretty well for only having a few months practice.

A selection from Evan's 5th Grade Band Winter concert. Band at his school is not a free activity and the parents have to pay a fee over and above renting the instruments.  A couple of times a week, they are dropped off at the Junior High (Parker's JH) for practice and bussed back to their elementary school.

Evan after the concert.  I wish his great grandmother (another red headed clarinet player) could have seen him perform.

Taking their applause after their final number.  The concert featured bands from 5th through 9th grades.  The last number featured all the bands together - you could see that the younger kids were really into it.
