Elaine, Mike & Sharon, and Sandy- Don't let Sandy's little doll fool you.  She used to beat me up on a regular basis.

The Gang: Mike, Sandy, Sharon, Bill, and Elaine.  This was probably 1950 and Mark would have been too young to be outside.  The dog was Skippy- a one woman dog (Mom's).  If Dad came home late, he wouldn't let him up the stairs until Mom said it was OK.  Sandy's family had a dog, Scratch, that was one mean SOB, who used to terrify me.

Henry washing up the old Plymouth.  Check out the running board.  I remember fondly how the radiator would blow and dad would have to go looking for the cap.

That's me about 5 years old.  The back of the photo has the caption "Bill at the Little Ferry".  I have a vague recollection of it - I think it was the ferry across the Susquehanna River that we used on our way to and from NYC to visit Dorsey & Pop.

Bill on his 5th birthday: New cowboy duds and all.  I think that's my old wagon behind my back.  Our old playhouse was in the front yard for many years until it was moved up by the barn.

Lorraine holding Mark.  Bill, Elaine, and Mike - This has to be 1949.  Enlarge the picture and check out Mike's Little Beaver tee shirt. And while we're on the subject, isn't that a very stylish tie.
"What an awesome picture -- but who is Mike? Elaine -..."

Back in my youth, I wanted to be a cowboy - I would listen to Gene Auntry and the Lone Ranger on the radio. Truth be told, I wouldn't mind being one today.
"I can't tell you why, but I seem to remember you this..."
"Wow. I thought for sure this was Greg when I saw it ..."

No that's not Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb in those vintage baseball uniforms- Just Mike and Bill.  I can still remember how scratchy and hot that old wool uniform was.

Mark on the road beside the dam.  Mark is proudly displaying the old pump action .22 that got his brother in hot water after he tested it after fixing it by firing at the pump house. All the fire hoses in it were ruined.
