This Album contains photos and videos from our time in High School.
The videos from our high school years were copied from old 8mm home movies and are of variable quality. I've done what I can to make them the best possible.
Use the embedded player to view the videos by clicking on the thumbnail picture. You can also download them to save on your computer. To save the file using Internet Explorer, right click on the "Download AVI/MPEG4" link under the thumbnail, and choose "Save Target As". It's more difficult in Firefox. Open the downloads window and drag the link to it. These are big files (up to 200 MB) and you need a lot of bandwidth (or all night on a slow internet connection)
On my machine the videos run a little dark so use your display controls to adjust the gamma or brightness. I use the freeware "Gamma Panel" program to quickly lighten the screen up. Gamma Panel can be downloaded CLICK HERE. You can set up presets with hotkeys to switch back and forth, which is very handy.

Although we didn't have as many attendees for the 55th that we had for the 50th, I think that everyone still had a good time. I often think about the patterns of our lives. For instance, we used to see our classmates almost daily. Now, at most is it five or ten years (at least for those of us who travel a ways to come). At our age, though, five years goes by in a blink.
Again we had a moment of remembrance for our classmates who are no longer with us. The list which seemed so long five years ago is even longer now. Plans are being made for our next gathering, in two or three years. "God willing, and the creeks don't rise", I hope to see you all then.

A good time was had by all who attended the 50th Reunion of the TAHS Class of 1961. While it was fun getting together and renewing old ties, there was a note of sadness as the names of the 38 class mates, who are no longer with us, were read and a bell rung in remembrance of them.
Special thanks to the Reunion Committee for creating such a memorable occasion.
Live music was provided by the Chinese Bandits and was made possible by a generous donation by classmate Patty Updike Summers. Their renditions of the many hits from the 1950's and 1960's were as good as the originals. You can view their YouTube Channel if you click the link Below

As I prepare this photo album, it's been almost 30 years after the reunion. In the photos from the reunion, there are many classmates that are no longer with us. We remember them as they were and are glad to have shared our growing up years together.

Our 20th reunion was over 40 years ago (writing this in 2023). It is hard to believe that it has been that long. At the time, we were a couple of years from hitting 40; our careers and families were well established and high school seemed to have been a long time ago. Now forty two years later, it is a little sad looking through these photos today as so many of our class mates that appear in them are gone now. So remember them fondly as you browse the album.
