I LOVE THIS DOG!!!

Macy was a birthday gift to myself in 2002. I quickly fell in love with her and the Rat Terrier breed. We entered the show scene August of that year.....she quickly finished her Championship and took the first leg of her GRCH before the year was over. I had thought I would retire her once she attained her GRCH. She would much rather be playing than strutting around the show ring. However, on May 31, 2003 she not only received her GRCH, she went on to take BOB (beating her sire GRCH Martin Miggs),and took RBIMBS. The following show she again beat her dad for BOB and went on to take BEST IN SHOW! It was quite a day! A big Thank You to both Judy and Jim Jones for seeing Macy's outstanding Rat Terrier qualities. A special thanks to Judy for encouraging me to take Macy to her full potential. (I'm sure to this day that Judy has no idea how her kind words of encouragement changed the course of Macy's and my show career). 2003 was a quite a year for Macy and myself. We grew together as a team. All but one of Macy's wins came in the last half of the year. She took 13 BOB's under 12 different judges. Macy went on to take one BEST IN SHOW, three RBIMBS, one GROUP I and three GROUP II. Macy ended the year as the TOP TEN #5 Rat Terrier, and went on to take TOP TEN BEST OF BREED at UKC's Premier in June 2004. Also at Premier, she became the first dog to earn Racing Titles, and was undefeated in earning them. Macy is so much more than a great show dog.... she's my great friend and companion.

***UPDATE 2007***

November 23rd Macy is officially retired from both the Show Ring and from "Parenthood". She will forever reign as the Queen of Canyon Creek and Queen of my Heart! We will continue our training for Performance Events.

May 28th Macy whelped her second and final litter.

***NEWS UPDATE's 2006*** February 11th Macy earns her Canine Good Citizen Title through AKC.
May 14th Macy competes for the first time in AKC's Rally Obedience, picks up a qualifing score of 88 and places 2nd in her class....just two more legs to go.
May 20th & 21st Macy finshes with two more qualifying scores and earns her Rally Novice title in AKC!
July 8th Washington Classic Macy competes for the first time in Agility and picks up a Qualifying Leg with a very respectable score of 197.
July 22 and 23rd Macy earns her UAG1 title.

***NEWS UPDATE************************
February 19th & 20th 2005 A pregnant (not showing) Macy stepped into the IABCA Show Rings and competed with Style and Grace. She easily earned her INTL CHAMPION Title and received a Terrier Group II and two Terrier Group III's with a strong Terrier Group represented.

March 27, 2005, Macy's Moppets are born!

June 11th 2005, just shy of 11 weeks after whelping her first litter of five beautiful pups, Macy returned to the Show Ring and took 2 Best of Breeds, and 1 BEST IN SHOW! Thank you Judges Jim and Judy Jones.

August 6th & 7th, Macy again had a GREAT Weekend. Taking all three GRCH classes, two Best of Breed, and one BEST IN SHOW!!! Thanks to Judges Butch Bennett, Arvil Black and Dennis Morgan.

Sept 24 Macy had possibly the BIGGEST WIN of her show career. Under the Honorable Judge Maurice Baughn she was awarded BEST IN MULTI BREED SHOW with line up of 12-13 dogs!!!!

October 1st 2nd, two more BOB's and a RESERVE BEST IN SHOW! Thanks to Judges Jim Jones and Virginia Pearson.

November 25th, 26th, & 27th. Macy finished out the year with style and Rattitude...(though, not necessarily the rattitude I had hoped for)LOL She took 5 of 6 GRCH classes (against the #2 and # 8 RT's) but was only able to snag one BOB along with a Terrier Group II. Thank You Sandra Drake.

To sum up the year: Macy only showed locally over about 5 1/2 months. She earned 94 Top 10 points, missing the TOP 10 cut by only five points. She will be four years old in February.... I am so pleased that she could keep up with the up and coming youngsters! I am so proud of this girl!!!!! ***********************************
