Buckles Rat Terriers - PUPPIES ARE HERE (August 5, 2008)We have miniature and toy type A rat terriers. Our dogs are registered with UKC. They live in the house with us. The puppies are born and raised in the house and handled by me and the grandkids.
Rat terriers are very loving little dogs. Their favorite thing to do is to cuddle up on a warm lap. They are good with the kids they know and love. My rat terriers just love it when the grand kids come over. They get along well with cats if the cats don't hate dogs. They have short silky hair that is easy to vacuum up. They are a good watch dog. If a stranger comes to the door or if some thing is not right to them they will sound the alarm. If you live on a farm they will be one of your best helpers. They are suited for apartment life as well. They are smart little dogs and easy to train. I enjoy teaching Houston tricks and he loves doing them. They love to play fetch. They are very athletic. People ask me if they are hyperactive, but I would say that even though they love action they are not normally hyperactive dogs. In fact my dogs are quite lazy. If I want to sit and watch TV, They curl up on my lap or lay at my feet. But if I get up and go out side they are ready to go with me. Sometimes it seems like they can read my mind. They really are awesome dogs. We live in NE Oregon close to Pendleton Ore. |
