Bullit - Adopted (July 28, 2009)| Bullit is a super dog! He is calm and relaxed but playful; affectionate without being bothersome. He does not bark and is very friendly with dogs and people. Displays no aggression whatsoever. Bullit is about 16 1/2" tall and around 20 lbs but needs to gain a little. He rides calmly in the car and is working on some basic obedience. He is a very handsome boy, current on all vaccines and neutered. |

Frankie - ADOPTED (April 4, 2009)Frankie aka **Freddie** ResQ foster received 4/3/09
Freddie has been adopted (6/21/2009) by the best people in North Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He will be a campin, hinkin, huntin (for lizards and frogs) swimmin little rattie. I am so happy for him. Frankie is being fostered in Fresno, CA!!
UPDATE!! (5/20/2009) 95% of Frankie's fur has grown back in. He is turned out to be a wonderful dog. You'd never know he was in such a major dog fight. Frankie loves to fetch with his foster dad and play tug with his foster canine sister. Frankie 200% housetrained, has not had 1 accident in the house ever.
Frankie was picked up by Animal Control in a nasty part of Los Angeles. He was in horrible condition as you can see from the pictures, and is on the road to recovery. Frankie was stitched up and left to heal in the shelter. Well as you can imagine the shelter is a dirty aweful place to be. His wounds got infected, the vet had to go back in and clean out the infection put a drain tube in an stitch him up again. This time a volunteer took him home to recover so as to not risk infection again. Frankie was with her a week when Rat Terrier ResQ, Inc. was notified of this little guy needing help. I picked up Frankie last Friday and will keep him until he find shis forever home. It will always remain a mystery as to what happened to this little guy, but I know one thing!! He will never have that knd of life again.
Frankie is said to be around a year old. He weights in at about 10 lbs and has full length tail that curls up on his back. Frankie is 100% house and crate trianed. He is learning to walk on a leash, After all he has been through Frankie loves everyone and both of his foster canine siblings. Frankie especially loves his toys. He is always got one in his mouth walking around the house. He is a very smart little guy and will make a great addition to any home.
Frankie will make is first public appearance April 18th at the Davis Picnic Days. Please stop by our booth and meet this great little guy. |

Cody - ADOPTED (March 26, 2008)Rat Terrier ResQ foster dog. Available for adoption as of 04/07/2008
Cody is a sweet little guy found in the shelter in Madera, California. Cody was a little under weight, very dirty and starving for some tender loving care. I brought him home gave him a bath, he ate a bowl of food and then we cuddle for a few hours.
Cody is 16 pounds of solid muscle, completely housetrained, neutered, up-to-date on all shots; crate trained and good on a leash but needs a little work (sometime car noises scare him). Although he loves to go for car rides. My vet estimates that he is abut 7 years old. Which is still very young for a terrier, he is not a puppy but in fact a very well mannered calm young man.
He is starting to play a little bit with squeaker toys and balls, I think as he gains more confidence with his living situation he will really open up and play. Cody love, love, loves children. He really comes out of his shell when children are around. Unless there are children around, Cody will just hang out in his crate or outside in the dog house. So we believe he would be best suited with a family with young children that have learned how to treat animals. Cody likes to play with squeaker toys, but really would rather have a little girl or boy to hang out with. Cats are also fine with Cody. |
