What an education! If it were A BOOK Id buy it! Imagine, repro next to genuine front, side back, what an education that would be! Thanks Bobye! - andrea, Thu, 14 Mar 2013 4:12PM
Your information is so helpful, thank you so much! I have begun to actively report sellers with fakes to eBay, and eBay does not seem to care...still! I think of these pieces as "art", so fakes are truly offensive! - Tony Johnson, Thu, 3 Jan 2013 10:32AM
Bobye- Thanks! Stellar collection and information. - Cat Thompson, Mon, 12 Dec 2011 12:57PM
Thank you very much for this helpful overview. Only thing I'd like to mention is, that when I buy a piece of jewelry I do not get the chance to see a second one next to it, which would enable me to examine both pieces and see which one is the original and which one the reproduction. As I'm from Germany, I mostly buy on eBay. My first Eisenberg was a pair of earrings marked with the script letter E and an addition block letter E on the earring itself. Ever since I received it I wonder if these earrings are original. How can a newbie on the wide field of vintage costume jewelry ever be sure to buy the right thing? Greetings from Germany, Pia - Pia, Mon, 10 Jan 2011 4:47AM
