From the Fenton Glass Company, this basket is the very rare Rosalene color, made for a short time starting in 1977. It was never intended as a limited edition, however, the pink color of the glass is caused by adding gold to the mix. Shortly after production started on this lovely glass, the price of gold jumped from $35 per oz, to over $800 per oz. This made the color too expensive to produce. Years later it was tried again using a chemical for the color, it was not too successful. About 6" tall from base to top of handle.
