This litter is due December 3rd, 2009. These are Decker Bloodline dogs, and this is a linebreeding. Pups will have an inbreeding co-efficient of around 7%.
Dawn and Riddick are both beautiful dogs, compatible in build, size, type and temperament. Although this litter was not planned, I feel that this cross will be very nice. Some of these pups should be great prospects for hunting or show. Of course ALL of them should make great companions as well. We are expecting these pups to be in the 15-17 inch range with weights from 25-30 lbs as adults, thought it is possible that some may end up being either smaller or larger. Both parents are very substantial dogs, and I expect that these pups should have muscle and bone to spare.
For colors I am expecting black/tan/white in piebald and tuxedo patterns. There is a very VERY slim chance that we may see some chocolates in this litter as well. I am not expecting any, but it is in both parents' background so it is a possibility.
Both parents easily achieved their respective UKC titles in spite of very limited showing. Both dogs have a tremendous amount of prey drive and are proven hunters, they have been hunted mainly on coons.
