 Blazing Sun Kennel was established in 2005. We are located in a small town in Northern Utah. Contrary to the name, our dogs are not kennel dogs, each one of our dogs is an integral part of our family and lives indoors in our home. We have a small breeding program, dedicated to producing only a few outstanding quality litters each year. Although we only make it to a handful of shows each year, our dogs have done well in UKC conformation events in spite of limited showing. My goal is to have dogs that are all-around fine examples of the breed. I am striving for an overall balance of health, beauty, correct structure, good temperament, and hunting ability. Not all dogs will make the cut -- Our dogs must prove that they have some merit in order to be considered for breeding purposes.
 As a breeder, producing healthy and genetically sound dogs is one of the most important parts of my breeding program. Our dogs will have OFA health clearances for cardiac, patellae, hips, and elbows; all of which will be done at the appropriate ages for testing. We have also recently started screening for PLL (Primary Lens Luxation), a genetic eye problem. Because I care about the integrity of my program, and of this wonderful breed, I will not breed a dog before health testing has been completed, nor will I ever breed a dog that receives less than a passing grade on any of it's health exams. Doing my best to keep my lines clean and free from genetic defects is a top priority.
 On rare occasions, I will have puppies available for Pets, Hunting, Show, or Performance. Every puppy will come with a health record, registration papers, health guarantee and lifetime placement guarantee. My puppies will come fully vaccinated, parasite-free, and micro-chipped. All dogs are DNA profiled through UKC prior to breeding, for the protection of our buyers and the integrity of our breeding program.
Pet puppies will be sold on spay/neuter contracts OR be spayed/neutered by my vet before going to their new homes, no exceptions!
