Billy and Mr. Miyagi I was asked by my local shelter if I could take Billy because he had an eye problem and by my former vet, who works at another shelter, if I could take Mr. Miyagi, an older male who was found abandoned in a field. Billy was treated with at least three types of medicine that did not resolve the eye problem. It is believed that he might have a blocked tear duct. Mr. Miyagi was very healthy but he ended up with a head tilt that he was given antibiotics the same night he went to the pet ER. He was totally normal again three days later. CLICK THUMBNAILS TO VIEW LARGER IMAGES. The most recent photos are at the beginning of the album. UPDATE 5-22-08: Mr. Miyagi died suddenly. The cause of his death is unknown ... he was scheduled for an x-ray to check for a stone or tumor. His current cage mate is Lucky. Date(s): February 17, 2006. Album by Guinea Pig Fun. September 1, 2007 Billy Mr. Miyagi Billy and Mr. Miyagi Mr. Miyagi: day adopted from shelter (received a call from  my former vet who is the shelter vet) Nose-to-nose with three-week-old Reggie. After he started barbering the males when they got older, he was placed with Billy. However, they never fought. Mr. Miyagi originally lived with three very young Texel siblings for a while. 1-01-06: 6-week-old sheltie 1-14-06: received a request from the shelter to take Billy who had an eye problem that they could not resolve Left eye area is damp from the eye medicines I think the two line indents on his back might be from turning around to chomp on mites. Trimmed some of the tan long whisps of hair when he first got here 1-18-06: shows area where hair was missing near left eye Small cyst on right ear 1-26-06: eye drops started; close-up of eye area 1-29-06 1-29-06 (EDIT: Billy no longer has any signs of an eye problem.
