Tambopata Photo Expedition

. The Tambopata Candamo Reserved Zone is a 3.8 million acre reserve in southeastern Amazonian Peru created in 1990 by the national government working in partnership with local grassroots and international conservation organizations. This reserve protects the biological diversity of the entire watersheds of the Tavara and the Candamo Rivers and most of the watershed of the Tambopata River

The Tambopata Reserve begins in the precipitous cloud forests of the eastern Andean slopes. Water from melted snow and rainfall rushes in torrents down tumbling waterfalls into rolling hills entirely covered with forest.
Research has shown the Tambopata area to be, arguably, the most biodiverse on the planet. It has world record species lists for birds and butterflies, amongst others. The Tambopata Reserve Macaw clay lick, the biggest of its kind in the world, is just a few hours up river.

Beto, absolutely amazing photography. I am consistantly being blown away. First the Condors Route photos and now this. You have a keen eye for the right shots at the right time. Keep exploring this world. Your photos help us appreciate the adventures which lay ahead.

Thanks so much for the last 2 sets of photos. The shots of the Jaguar !!!!!!!!! I mean to know that they do exist in this country is amazing. You have had the pleasure of seeing some great places. Comments ?? Lovely to look at......good colors, expressions, activity and having been in areas like that I could feel what you took.

Beto, como siempre, un gusto recibir tus fotos, la verdad, son impresionantes. Yo soy mas bien medio citadino, pero la belleza de los paisajes que compartes, hacen que a uno le piquen los pies. Tengo mucho gusto de mostrar a mis amistades tus fotos, seria espectacular que alguna vez edites un libro con parte de tu Afición, que mas parece un trabajo, por lo profesional del resultado.
