GlobeSonic Dance Party (August 14, 2009)| Part of 'Summer on the Hudson'. This time I had my LED hoop ready to go for the night time hooping :-) It was a hit for sure, people kept asking where I bought it and were surprised that I made it. It's not hard to make, just a but time consuming :-D |

GlobeSonic Dance Party (July 17, 2009)GlobeSonic's Summer on the Hudson Dance party at Pier 1 in NYC.
Jenn and I headed to the pier at 7:30 to get our hoop on. We met up with some other friends as well and made some new ones. It was a great time and I managed to give out a few business cards during the evening. We had to leave at 9:30 because it started raining, but I am totally looking forward to next year when my LED hoop will be ready! |

Hoopfest in Central Park (April 18, 2009)Hoopers in NYC gather in Central Park to enjoy the gorgeous weather and hoop it up. Hoopnotica hoops were offered for sale by instructor Sheryl, there were also rentable hoops for beginners to try out.
I met up with my friend Jenn, who I recently introduced to hooping. I could only stay for an hour, but it was some of the most fun I've had in in Central Park :-) I wish everyday could be a hoop fest with friends. |

Union Square Park Hooping (April 17, 2008)| It was a GORGEOUS day in NYC today! It reached 70 in some areas and the sun was shining gloriously. I managed to sneak in 30 minutes of hooping during lunch with my hoop buddy Jenn :-) After work though, I headed to Union Square to hoop on the nice soft grass. Union Square is perfect for a hooper, there are performers of every kind and I blended in perfectly :-) I felt in my element while hooping and even had a guy give me a polaroid he took of me lol. |

3 or 4 color hoops - $25 3 color with glow tape - $30 1-2 color with Ribbon - $35
*To collapse your hoop, place on connection point on the floor with the other in your hand. Place your foot on the point on the floor and start pushing down on the top point while twisting to the right. Once the connections touch you'll have a figure '8' shape. Hold the two connections with your left hand while pulling one half of the figure '8' towards the other.
*Only collapse your hoop for travel, do not keep it coiled down during storage as they can warp. Do not leave in your car on a hot day, they will melt and warp. |

Retaping Your Hoopnotica Travel Hoop Ever wonder how to replace the tape on your Hoopnotica Travel Hoop ? Well I didn't see any tutorials anywhere online, so I decided to make one for those who may need a little guidance in replacing their worn out tape. You can opt to use the tape direct from Hoopnotica or you can use your own. In this tutorial, I'm using my own, kind of modding my hoop to my personal tastes :-) Materials Needed: Damaged Hoopnotica Travel Hoop Replacement tape from Hoopnotica or your own tape Hobby Knife (like an Exacto) Windex Paper Towel

March 28, 2009 - Bonnie and Tanya try hooping :-)
March 7, 2009 - It was a REALLY nice day for NYC early March weather, it reached a high of 70! Will and I met some friends in Prospect park and I hooped it up for a bit. I also introduced Mike and Cris to hooping (and all their friends). Maybe I'll have a few more converts lol.
February 7-8, 2009 - I hooped at NYCC as Slave Leia and added those pictures :-) I got two more converts at NYCC and met new people who also hoop!
Jan 14, 2009 - Pictures of me practicing hooping :-) Only a beginner for now, but I hope to be able to dance well enough where I won't look like a fool soon :-D |
