Marlene compiled a list of the many homes and towns we lived in. You might say, Dad had the right idea by converting that first bus into a home on wheels - it would probably have made life much easier on all of us if we had kept it.
1940-1946: East Orange -Caney Kansas (Mary Lou was born) Summer: Labor Camp, Twin Falls, Idaho 1946: Lloyd Barron Ranch - Fairfield, ID 1946: Big house next to Leroy and Eleanor, Twin Falls, ID (Marlene's first grade)(CAROL born here??) 1947: Farm House - Jerome (Marlene's 2nd grade) 1948: Farm House - Rupert, ID. Snowed in that winter. Uncle Kenneth made Marlene and Mary Lou doll beds out of orange crates. 1948-49: Bus in town of Rupert, 3rd grade. Wyoming in the bus Winter in Caney, KS, little house by the railroad tracks Summer in a house in Caney near theO grocery store 1949-50: Gladfelter farm near Dewey Oklahoma where Jim was born. Owens 1 room school house 1950-51: House near park in Caney, KS, 5th grade @McKinley School 1951-52: 6th grade 1952-56: Wilton Jct. Iowa. house in country with large barn, House by train tracks in Wilton Jct. where Debbie was born 1956: Ealinger 2 story house 5th Street in Filer Idaho 1958: Small house west of Filer on highway. Marlene Graduated Winter of 58: Burley, farm house 1958-59: House on Madrona also Washington Courts behind Albertsons 1960: House by NatSooPaw Heyburn, ID, brick house with large pine tree, 2 story big house where Dad ran Garbage route, built a lift for front of his truck. Had heart attack 61 1962: Small house where Twins were born 1962-63: Caney, Kansas 1963: Twin Falls, Hansen by Murtaugh Lake, Jim Borrens at Murtaugh, Potter place at Hazelton, where Deb graduated lost track of years on following moves: Brockmans by Mobile Station Hansen/Eden Arco in Town, then on the Big Bend where they had the fruit stand.
