Ripley is my first Rat Terrier and she hooked me on the breed immediately! I had never owned or known a smarter dog. She's super creative, a wizard with the clicker, and a joy to train and to live with. Ripley loves people, and she brings smiles to everyone she meets. With her beautiful, intelligent expression and her repertoire of hilarious tricks, she's unforgettable!
Ripley is a UKC Champion, and also registered with the AKC's FSS program. She is OFA clear for patellas, strong heart and health, well muscled and athletic. She has had two litters of lovely pups and has been an excellent mother, as well as a nanny to our Kangal pups. In her "retirement" she remains active in performance sports, and as my personal assistant in my dog training classes!

Was there ever a Rat Terrier with a more beautiful head and expression than our sweet Ripley? I think not! Kudos to Diane Lewis for capturing Ripley's personality to perfection.
Ripley's prey drive was evident as a tiny puppy. Here she is, checking out the the voles or mice or whatever, residents of this hollow tree trunk.
Ripley loved Chilek, our imported Kangal Dog and beloved foundation bitch. She especially loved chasing those fluffy curly tails. It warmed my heart to see how my Kangals doted on her.
Pasha, our foundation import male Kangal, likewise put up with Ripley's shenanigans, and they were buddies from Day 1.
Ripley wearing her Betty Rubble outfit (grin). She learned quickly to "pose" on cue, on whatever tree trunk, step, or other object I point to.
Ripley loves flyball! It took her no time at all to learn to leap all the hurdles, hit the box, grab the ball, and come jumping back with it.
I taught Ripley to "hit the box" by teaching her first to close doors at home by jumping on them. But at only 11 lbs or so, she had to hit this old box pretty hard to get the ball to pop out!
Ripley rips through the tunnel!
Ripley at her first agility trial circa 2002. Ripley SOOO wants to do everything right... so I have to be very careful not to let her know when **I** screw up with my handling!
Ripley and her Mini Dachshund pal.
Ripley and her son Jeepers. Click to see this beautiful photo by Diane Lewis--if only I had her talent! (www.dianelewisphotography.com)
Ripley's UKC pedigree. She is also registered in the AKC FSS program.
Three lean, mean, galloping machines! Check out that rear extension!
Kangal Dog Lule is so amazing, the way she tears around with the little guys without hurting them. She weighs over 100 lbs.
Sheer beauty.
Ripley with her puppies. She's an excellent mama!
