1 Hooray! Hooray! I've been rescued!
2 My name is Jay, and I'm about 2-1/2 years old.
3 I weigh just 8 lbs.
4 I was so happy to get to my new foster home and be able to explore all over the yard.
5 I'm not afraid of new places or new people. I'm inquisitive and like to check things out.
6 I was sooooooo happy to discover that my new foster dad likes giving pats...
7 ...because frankly, snuggling and cuddling is about my favorite thing ever.
8 I've been accused of being a Lap Potato.
9 I'll gladly snuggle with whoever is ready for it.
10 I particularly like hanging out with my foster dad, and will follow him around the house.
11 Just me, trotting around.
12 Apart from an accident or two in my first couple of days here, before I knew the routine, I have been reliably house trained.
13 I will go to the door and whine a bit or give a scratch to let you know that I want to go out.
14 On nice days, I love to sunbathe in the yard, just enjoying the warmth.
15 I will sometimes chase a squirrel if it runs right past me, but it's really mostly for show, and I prefer to live and let live.
16 I am generally pretty quiet around the house. I get alert and curious when the doorbell rings or someone knocks, but I don't start barking.
17 My indoor house manners are very good. I don't chew on things I shouldn't or get into the trash or any other such naughtiness.
18 This is my "may-I-get-into-your-lap" look. It is generally pretty effective!
19 When I first got to my foster home, I did quite a bit of grumbling/growling. That was my way of telling my new foster parents when I was unsure of myself and suspicious about how things might go. After just a few days, I realized that my foster parents are kind and gentle and weren't going to hurt me, so I stopped feeling the need to warn them off.
20 When there is no lap available, I'm fine with just chilling on my own and I do not make a pest of myself.
21 Sometimes I will amuse myself with a toy. Click for a video. Sorry it's sideways.

23 Click for a short video showing how nicely I walk on leash. I enjoy going for walks. I pretty much stay right by your side without lagging or pulling, and I'm not bothered by passing cars. If you walk fast, I trot, and if you walk slowly, I do, too.
