This ZfK55 rifle is unfired and was never issued. It only has some minor marks from storage at the support points where it was hanging for years as a wall display.  It comes with a complete original parts roll, scope can and sling. Previously, it was in the personal collection of a former Director of the Waffenfabrik Bern and went directly from the production line into to his private collection.  The "parts roll" is amazing. It's like a treasure hunt just going through it and seeing all of the small items they put in it, including a storage tube that has every front sight post replacement you'd ever want. If you want to see how well she shoots with a modern 24x scope, the package also comes with a modern add-on St. Marie plug-n-play replacement mount, specially designed and built for the ZfK55. The St Marie mount uses the standard weaver configuration for mounting any commercially available scope and rings.

This rifle is located in Canada and is the ONLY one currently registered in this country.

"A beautiful example of a WWII period Russian SVT-40 with all original military wood in milsurp class excellent condition.  The metal may have been reblued (or touched up) at some point, as the bolt-carrier is blued rather than the usual "plumb" colour.  This rifle is not a recent import and was in a private collection for over 10 years with less less than 30 rounds fired through it.  This rifle is 1943 manufacture with all matching numbers on the Bolt carrier, Trigger Guard, and Receiver.  The magazine bears no serial number.  This rifle is in 95% condition with an excellent bore.  It comes with the original sling and issued cleaning rod."

"This beautiful example of an M1 Garand bears full original military wood in excellent condition, but the wood may have been refinished at some point.  The metal has been bead-blasted and matte-blued.  The rifle is fitted with a brand-new USGI barrel in 1994 and has fired a grand total of 10 "proving" rounds through it since.  The rifle features a National Match (NM-marked) Operating Rod.  It comes complete with a Bayonet in VG+ condition.  The bayonet is a "PAL" 1943, with the U.S. Ordnance "flaming bomb" on the shaft of the blade and the metal fixture of the scabbard."

"This a solid rifle (wood and metal) and would make a nice addition for anyone into collecting German Mausers, who also wants a good range shooter.  It's an "all correct" piece, although the serial numbers are mismatched.  Under the terms of the Versailles Treaty the number of rifles the German Army was limited to 84,000 Gew98’s and 18,000 Kar98a’s (later increased by 50,000 rifles to be used as a reserve). The German Military worked around these restrictions by assembling rifles from previously made parts and by hiding large numbers of rifles from the Versailles weapons commission.  It's in very good condition for a 88 year old rifle and the barrel has well defined rifling."
