Topaz
Sealpoint Snowshoe
We lost Topaz in April, 2007, and it was a hard loss for us. For me, it was hard because Topaz was the last bit of my childhood.
For the dogs, it was hard, because Topaz was our Queen Mother, here at AristocRats.
Not a puppy came through the door, that did not become Topaz's "baby." From face washings, to discipline, to sneaking into puppies' crates, Topaz was a major part of the dogs' lives. She truly believed, I think, that she was a dog.
Sterling, was Topaz's first RAT ... and he loved her just as much as she loved him. Those two were fast friends, and could often be found together, sleeping in a patch of sun. When Topaz became senile, towards the end, and would wander out the backdoor ... Sterling could be trusted to go out into the yard, find her, and bring her back, safe and sound.
Topaz was our kitty-proofing expert, here at AristocRats ... employing all the wisdom of her 19 years, when training puppies to behave like civilized beings around felines.
She will be sorely missed. There will never be another Topaz. May she chase many butterflies, and kiss many puppies, at the Rainbow Bridge. | Date(s): 1987 - 2007. Album by Lynzie Baldwin. 1 - 6 of 6 Total. 253 Visits. |
