I would be hesitant purchasing from the breeders again because they still have not lived up to their end of the contract that I signed.  I've tried multiple times to reach the breeders and have not been able to get a response or the papers for our dog.

It's hard to believe, but our "puppies" are now 4 years old!  We got Nick and Nora from Dawn and Ron in 2004 and they have been loved members of our family ever since.  As I type, they are both snuggled up at my feet.  They are ever devoted and loyal family pets.  They have terrific temperaments and have had excellent health. Ron was very helpful when I had some training questions.  He was immediately available and able to answer my questions. We are very pleased with our rat terriers and would most definitely recommend Dawn and Ron.

I just saw the issue with the owner who has had health issues with thier dog. We have two dogs from Ron and Dawn. Katie Lynn is now 2 years old and Polly will be 2 in a few months. Both dogs enjoy excellent health, vet visit just last month. Unfortunately Katie had a tick I couldn't pull out. Dogs have very healthy teeth, hearts and are the perfect weight for thier sizes. They are so happy, playfull and loving. I wouldn't trade them for all the money on earth. Our dealings with Ron and Dawn went smoothly and never had a problem with them or the dogs. I would love to breed our dogs with them and hope to get in touch to get more infomation on that process.
It's truly unfortunate that Steph's dog is ill but this is not a reflection on Ron and Dawn and how they breed and care for their dogs/litters.

I got my second Rat Terrier from Ron and Dawn while living in Maryland.Denver(previously Pugsley)is from the Adams Family litter of 2005 (a few of his photos are on the picture page)   and I couldn't be more proud of the adult he has become. When Dawn's young daughter told him when picking him up"that I sure got a good one mam" boy she was right. He is the image of his Dad Moses and I wouldnt think of going to anywhere else when it comes time for another addition to our Rattie run home!

Our puppy Tucker ( Ebo, born 4/2004)  is now 2 1/2 years old and PERFECT!!  Bright, athletic, friendly, loving, everyone who meets him is taken by his personality.  He can really make you laugh.  We love him so much.  He has had perfect health. I give him too many treats because he is such a good boy so the vet suggested that I STOP IT. Not fat but a little love handle.

I am the owner of Anubis Kennels and have tried to help Steph with the issues with the puppy she purchased. As stated in our contract we do stand behind our puppies. You have 72 hours to get the puppy to the vet if there are any major health issues with your puppy we will replace the puppy.

Steph called months after purchasing her puppy and told me of issues with the puppy. I offered to replace the puppy at that time. She refused. The rest of the puppy's littermates were and still are fine with no issues. This is not a genetic issue that is passed on to all the puppies, the sire and dam are fine. They have been bred two other times and all puppies are fine.

Everyone knows that when you breed you do have some health issues, but this is an isolated incident and in no way reflects the breeding. If you breed long enough you are bound to have issues.

Steph wants us to repay the cost of the puppy along with all vet bills. I know of no other breeder that does this. We did try and do the right thing Steph refused.

We purchased a puppy two years ago and within the 2 years we have had 3 major health issues (heart problems, joint/muscle problems, SEVERE allergies (basically allergic to all food, which have caused very bad skin conditions http://wolfe-clan.net/pic/ruby/)).  With several vets stating that these health issues are due to genetics because of the severity of her conditions.  We have spoken with Anubis kennels many times in the past 2 years with no help.  Although they will verbally claim they stand behind there animals, they obviously do not...well, I should say you do have 72 hours to have them medically checked and ask for a replacement.  First off who is going to replace an animal they have bonded with?  Second our vets say there is no way to really find out of any major allergic and other medical conditions until they are older and more developed.

The only thing we would ask for is the money we paid for the dog which in no way even comes close to the amount of money we have spent in vet bills.

Please consider this information when purchasing from these breeders.

We are currently enrolled in a clicker training course and I am proud to say that Hunter has quickly become the teacher's pet! He learns everything so quickly and he really enjoys going to school. He is an unbelievably awesome dog!

Rick, Eva and Erin Figueroa We were so excited about adding our little Macy (pka Gladys) to our family but the more I looked at little Boomer's (pka Bernie)picture on the Anubis website the more we couldn't resist getting 2 such cute little ratties. We are thrilled with how healthy, happy and smart our 2 new babies are. Every question we had was answered quickly by Dawn and Ron. They were very helpful with advice and recommendations and it was so obvious that they and their kids put a lot of time and love into raising such great little rattie pups. We couldn't ask for a better breeder to work with and really appreciate how much they helped us. We would recommend Anubis Kennel to everyone and feel very fortunate to have found them. I've had dogs all my life but the Rat Terier puppy we got from Anibus Kennels is simply unbelievable! I am in love! We got it for our daughter Jessica to enter her in 4H and named her "Elie". I am really impressed with her temperment and how she is getting along with our other animals: 2 dogs (min pins), 6 cats, 3 horses, fish, etc. She fit right in and we hope to love her for a very long time. Thank you Ron and Dawn! We are fotrunate to have met you. I would highly recommend this breed and this kennel to anyone looking for loveable family dog!

We are head over heels in love with our new addition from Fat Girl's litter.  Our tan female was named Cindi (Cinderella) and is an excellent companion for my 2 little girls.  She is the perfect house dog.  She has the best temperment and does not mind the constant pick ups by my daughters.  Dawn was so helpful in picking us up at a local store and showing us to her house.  We were very impressed with the kennels as well and will highly recommend anyone to her.  The Rat Terrier is the perfect family dog.   Thank you for all of your help!

Ife, now know as Tanwy has been the best addition to our family. She is sweet, loveable, playful and very nice to everyone and everything she meets. She was a gift for my daughter's 11th birthday, she says it is the best gift she ever got. Dawn was so wonderful to work with us by helping us with the pick up time and date. She was highly praised by our vet. We picked Tawny all through the computer without meeting Dawan and Ron or Tawny. I would highly recommend Anubis to anyone. Thanks.

We came to Anubis Kennels when Adofo was six-weeks old to pick him out of the litter.  Anubis Kennels were clean and spacious and the dogs appeared well-cared for.  We took Adofo home just over a week ago and he is terrific!  We love everything about him - how he looks, his personality, etc.  He's also smart - he already knows his new name (Rocket) and how to sit on command.  We can tell the puppy has been socialized - he's great with our twin 5-year olds and everyone who wants to play with him.  Ron and Dawn were always very responsive and helpful.  They also gave us a great deal of information about the breed.  I will highly recommend Anubis Kennels to friends and family!
