The parade started with a "BANG" the police on their motor bikes cleared the path followed by two men with backpacks FULL of fire crackers. They were lighting them and throwing them on the street to clean away the bad spirits and welcome in the new year.

The very first parade display drew the most chearing and 'ooohhss' - the Chinese God of Good Fortune. He walked with a solum face carrying a pig lanturn in one hand and scripture in the other. People clammored to take his photo.

I had to get a photo taken with one of the Lions. Our friend joined in. There was no way I was leaving that parade without a photo of me and a lion.
