Performance

One of my passions is agility. My first group of agility dogs has retired or passed away, so we are in the rebuilding phase. I currently have three ratties in training at the novice/intermediate level.

I recently started dabbling in Rally Obedience. I'm having a blast playing with my kids in this new game!

I have put over 65 performance and conformation titles on my kids. Here are some pictures of each of them enjoying the game.

Our second CPE weekend...
Ember demonstrates how to go up and over the apex of the A-frame with speed.

I didn't train Ember to leap over the apex...
I feel that could be an unsafe way to perform this obstacle. So, she runs up, and drives down to her 2 on 2 off spot.

You can see her focusing on her "spot".

Ember doesn't do anything slow...
This dog walk is about 4.5-5 feet off the ground. She speeds across.

I love to see her working... looking for her "spot".

Tehya earned her first agility titles this weekend!
I was a super proud Mama.

Tehya is my first "bred-by" performance dog...
And she's the second generation since Ember is her mama.

What a great birthday weekend.
The weather was great and Ember had a great time.

Can we say INTENSE?

Run run run, Emmy!
Why do they call this the "dogWALK"?

Up and over!

Emmy qualified in eight of ten runs.
One NQ was my fault. (I got lost on the course.)

The other NQ was Emmy's fault.
Yes, she went under the tire. Brat!

And then she gave me this beautiful smile...
Didn't I do good, Mama?

Emmy has a beautiful jumping style.
She has a nice natural tuck.

A rather symbolic picture...
Devan is getting Raney ready to run. Devan's trainer (Amanda) is sitting in the background with Cari getting ready for our run.

Devan and Raney managed to capture yet another Junior High In Trial on Saturday morning.

I love to see Raney and Devan together...
Both girls are SO pretty. They make a beautiful pair.

Emmy is a very fast girl...
When I saw this picture, I asked Tracey if I'd stumbled. She said that I was sprinting to keep up.

Cari is a fast little girl!
She would have had a clean run, except Mama got in the way in the far corner by the red jump (almost at the end of the run.)

It was so cold on Saturday we had to wear our coats inside.

This was shortly before Raney had a brat moment.
Raney was a bit tired and decided instead of playing with Devan, she was going to find Mama. She left the course with only two obstacles left.

Enlarge photo 35

This was Sunday, January 8.
Raney made up for being a brat on Saturday by doing everything Devan wanted perfectly. Devan won her third Junior High in Trial and a total of 50 points for the weekend.

After 6 years, I finally registered Raney.
Raney adores Devan. She won't play in agility with any one like she does Devan.

This is Sandy walking through the Excellent course before we ran. It looks really silly to see all these people walking around a course, talking and motioning to an imaginary dog.

The lady in the black vest is Andrea...
She's the Good Will Ambassador of Agility. She's always so nice to everyone. She always has an encouraging word... even when you just ran the most awful run ever!!!

Emmy is only jumping 4 and 8 inches right now. I think she'll be jumping 12 inches when she starts competing.

She has absolutely no trouble clearing this 4 inch jump!

Emmy learned how to do the BIG teeter tonight.
She's not scared of anything!

Another jump...
Because she's so young (9 1/2 months) I'm not allowing her to jump much.
