TOURS (Updated, October 1, 2008)Experience these safe and secure Tours within the Freetown area. The Mountain Horizons Tour will provide you with an excellent view of various city landmarks while giving you a panoramic view of the hillside and some hidden treasures. You get a chance to visit Fourah Bay College, Tacugama Chimpanze reserve, St Charles church, Konga dam and more. Come prepared and be comfortable.
The Banana Island Excursion takes us on a 25minute ride along the peninsula beaches to one of our three launching points off Govt. Wharf, Aberdeen or Kent, for a boat trip to this majestic island first inhabited in the early 1700's. This is a full day tour, see below.
The BUNCE ISLAND EXCURSION promises to be a journey into history. The Fortress at Bunce Island played a major part in the Trans-Atlantic slave trade dating from the 1670's when the British based Royal African Company established a trading post on the northern tip of this small island. Bunce Island became the final holding point before thousands of Africans crossed into bondage.
