battery box
Battery box which a made to fit behind the bumper inside the frame rail. This frees up the firewall for other equipment such as airconditioning stuff. The location has worked great for me, easy to jump others or get a jump if needed.

Side view of the battery box, the lid is loosened and rotated out of the way so the battery can be removed.

Undersurface view of the battery box and the framework for the box. The outside wall of the box is actually the frame, the inside wall       up against the winch, the front is the bumper, so all I had to make was 3 sides.

Front view of the battery box. The lid is quite sturdy, notice the foot print on the box.  It's a god place to stand while working on things under the hood.

Side view of the battery box with the lid off.The box will hold a 900 AMP battery, I chose an optima battery to reduce the risk of leakage.
